SMALLS TO THE WALL is a steep creek race held at Smalls Falls near Rangeley, ME. Racers drop 65 feet in less than a 10th of a mile over a series of waterfalls through a roadside gorge.

Maine Whitewater Championships

SAFETY COORDINATION /VOLUNTEER

Supporting the New England whitewater community, through competition on 2 of the classic recreational rivers. Whitewater enthusiasts will enjoy not only a race, but a community-based event as well.

Organize Agency and Volunteer SAR Trainings

Co-Organize with NH Fish and Game and White Mountain Swiftwater Rescue Team​​

SRG, working with NH Fish and Game, has organized multiple trainings with volunteer SAR teams, agency and fire/rescue personnel, and volunteer victims and patients.  These realistic trainings involved ground and water search, tracking movement with GPS, rescuing and treating patients, and transporting rescuers, patients, and recovered "bodies" using different craft and rope systems.

Between the 180 racers laying it all on the line and 2000 spectators making the arduous journey into the iconic Green River Narrows, there is no other sporting event quite like the Green River Narrows Race!  It really is “The Greatest Show In All Of Sports.”

Tuckerman INFERNO

RIVER SAFETY COORDINATION

The Tuckerman Inferno Pentathlon (run, kayak, bike, hike, ski legs) is the premier single day adventure race in the Northeast. Darron coordinated the river safety crew on the Class II Saco River kayak course for many years, prior to the current format that no longer includes a paddling leg.
