Founders

Based out of New Hampshire's White Mountains—with roots in New York’s Adirondack Mountains and the North Maine Woods—Darron Laughland and Jake Risch offer more than 40 combined years of whitewater leadership experience.

As accomplished whitewater boaters, founding members of the White Mountain Swiftwater Rescue Team and experienced river guides they bridge the gap between the recreational, professional, and agency whitewater/swiftwater communities.

Darron and Jake are excited to launch the Sawyer River Group, provide realistic scenario-based training, and share their knowledge and experience.
