Service Description
SRG offers 2-day Wilderness First Aid courses with the option of added CPR. These classes use the SOLO (Stonehearth Open Learning Opportunities) WFA curriculum and certification. Wilderness First Aid is a two-day introduction to general medical concepts and basic life support skills. It is targeted to the outdoor enthusiast on day trips or short adventures. Course Topics Include Patient Assessment System; CPR; Circulatory System; Nervous System; Respiratory System; Fractures, Stable Injuries, and Splinting; Hypothermia; Hyperthermia and Heat Illness; Near Drowning; Lightning Injuries; Wounds and Burns; Anaphylaxis; Lifting, Moving Extrication; Patient Carries; Backcountry Medicine. This WFA course can be piggybacked with a Swiftwater Rescue Course that finishes with a blending of the two courses with water based scenerios that move from solving an access challenge, performing a rescue, to practice stabilizing and treating a patient with injuries.


Cancellation Policy
30 Days or more prior to course start date, SRG will offer a full refund. Between 15 and 29 days prior to the course start date, SRG will retain 25 percent of the course tuition. Between 8 and 14 days prior to the course start date, SRG will retain 50 percent of the course tuition. Less than 8 days prior to the course start date or after the course has begun, there will be no refunds.
